Mini Tour Mini Redux

Just a few shots Hammerly took during our Mini Tour with Kung Fury. We'll post more and some tales from the road over the next few days. Cheers!

We were about ready to build an Ark. Torrential downpours greeted us as we arrived in the city of brotherly love, as did fine establishments such as this.





Sunday the weather was perfect, and even the Holland Tunnel traffic was kind to us.
KG in NYC....it's on!




With a couple of hours to kill, we found a place for lunch. Rue-B's on Avenue B had Buffalo Trace in stock so we obliged.



Then it was on to the gig at Otto's Shrunken Head Tiki Bar....and Lounge. Where we had the great pleasure of meeting Mr. F. Wood. PUSH THE BUT'N!

Splawn Super Comps taste good

For any of you gear geeks out there, I just picked up a Splawn Super Comp and it KILLS. This is Splawn's single channel version of the Nitro head.
I was digging the Quick Rod and wasn't sure if the Super would be overkill. Plus it's a single channel head so I was curious about being able to get the cleans I need. But those KT88s are pushing air and tone all day.
As for cleans, I just do the old Les Paul Rhythm pickup volume around 3-4 and she cleans up real nice. With a flick of the selector I'm back to the heavy.
The amp arrived yesterday and I dialed in a tone and rocked through a great rehearsal. So much so I'm taking the new head on the road. for our mini tour with Kung Fury: DC-Philly-NYC.
