Pre-Production

The New Album

We've been busy doing preproduction on the new (yet to be titled) album. David Kowalski has been busy setting up recording facilities at our rehearsal studio and it certainly makes the song writing process much easier. The ability to listen to an arrangement , tweak and refine it long before we hit the studio will only lead to good things for the final product. We are excited for you to hear whats bouncing around in our collective heads!

Southern Darkness Review on HEAVY PLANET

"King Giant fall into a category of bands that span the globe, but honestly, this album could only be made in the American South. It's like listening to Down...or better yet, one of the true outlaw country artists like Waylon Jennings fronting Down...but with an even badder attitude. As a matter of fact, if Johnny Cash rose from the grave and started a metal band, this is what it might sound like. Folks, this is some serious shit. King Giant isn't music that's meant to be fun. No, this is music that's meant to exorcise demons.
Recommended...with a shot of whiskey."

KG Kicks off the New Year in DC!

We had a great time playing with longtime friends TONE. Thanks to Felix, Boo and the rest of the staff at the Rock and Roll Hotel for making making us feel right at home.
Also on the bill were Gifts From Enola and Dark Sea Dream. All in all it was a great night of rock.
Special thanks to Despina Anastasia for sharing some images she took that night.

Phil Stoneman was on the board that night. RULER!

King Giant on 98 Rock

Expanding our reach into the world of FM radio King Giant was recently featured on Baltimore’s 98 Rock during a special Noise in the Basement segment. Thats right we don't let silly blizzards prevent us from driving to Baltimore to do a radio show. So TI, DK and Hammerly piled into White Lightning and passed one overturned car after another. Gee maybe this wasn't a great idea. We got into Baltimore a bit early so we decided to try a local watering hole.

Matt Davis host of the Noise in the Basement show on 98 Rock let Potter's Field blast across the airwaves and it sounded damn good.

Goofy pic of TI on the 98 rock webcam.

The very next night we headed back to Baltimore to play a NITB gig at The Quarter.
But not before treating ourselves to an evening of fine dining at a swanky Hotel bar and lounge.

Full of good cheer we proceeded to play a riff heavy and rock steady set for the fine people of Charm City. We love you Baltimore. We'll be back!

Backstage was spacious.

Special thanks to Matt Davis and the rest of the 98 Rock crew for supporting the local music scene and Chris Kamsch for pulling that together.
